After more than 30 years as an arts leader, I made some big changes in my life and rediscovered my creativity and passion. I believe in human connection and empathy, and I have put that belief into practice by helping others find pathways to fulfillment.
Welcome. When I think about my work as a coach, leader, and consultant, it’s always about you. Here’s an example that demonstrates the power of that approach. I used to take a yoga class with someone who would begin with a quiet meditation and the question “What brought you to this mat today?” I always loved that, because it was such an open question that allowed each of us to focus on what we felt and wanted at just that moment in time, and yet, it also set the tone for what might happen later. Each day my own answer would be different, and that allowed me to acknowledge how transient life can be. We can anticipate what might happen but we can’t really know! That might feel scary at times, but it’s also beautiful and exciting.
Transition and transformation are part of every day we spend here on earth. The question is not whether that is true, but instead, how we choose to move through those changes and how open we are to exploring where they might take us. That can apply to our creative selves, our roles at work, our organizations, our communities, our relationships, and our inner beings. Our present, and our future. And so, as you explore this website, and ponder reaching out to me, think about what brought you here today. Then let go of your fear. If you choose to explore some possibilities, remember that the only risk you will take in doing so is that you will learn something, find your own answers and new ways to move through your life, and grow.
